We thought this infographic would be a fun way to show that most new Internet users will be coming from developing regions of the world, and will be using mobile devices to access the web.
Since 2006, the number of internet users has nearly doubled. Currently, there are 2.4 billion internet users globally. By the end of this year, that number is expected to reach 2.7 billion. That’s 39% of the population. It makes us wonder what that means for the demographics or users and their experience on the web. You can access the internet from your phone, tablet, or computer, and each experience is different.
